Starting March 21st, users will have a choice between to types of access to Fordham’s wireless network using the Clean Access Agent. “Secured Fordham Access” will allow members of the Fordham community to access all of Fordham’s electronic resources. Access to these services will “Faculty Non-Secured Access” will allow authenticated faculty members to quickly access the internet to facilitate classroom teaching.

Non-Secured Access will allow faculty to access the internet without the normal Clean Access checks for up-to-date Operating Systems and antivirus software, so that these checks do not take up valuable classroom time if a faculty member has allowed his/her antivirus software or operating system to become out of date.

Access to campus resources, though, including library reserves and databases, will continue to require Clean Access compliance, and users who wish to access these resources must choose Secure Fordham Access on the login page.

WARNING:

SPSS 13 is not a universal binary and WILL NOT RUN CORRECTLY ON INTEL MACS. There is an incompatibility with Rosetta emulation that results in some computations returning incorrect results.

If you have an Intel Mac, you should consider running SPSS v14 for Windows under BootCamp, or look for an alternative. SPSS v15 for Mac, which will be Intel-compatible, will not be available until sometime in mid-2007.
