Blackboard will be offline for 24 hours starting

Wednesday, August 15th at 12:00am

The scheduled downtime will allow us to upgrade to the new 7.3 release of Blackboard, which includes a number of enhancements to the Forums, as well as improving performance in general..

This is episode 2 of the ITAC podcast, a recording of Richard Sweeney’s keynote address to our Annual Technology Conference on May 22nd. Mr. Sweeney is University Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and spoke about the challenges of teaching incoming tech-savvy “millennial” students. We just want to send out a big “Thank You” to everyone who attended our 2007 Annual Technology Confernce at the Law School on Tuesday despite the temptation of the gorgeous weather in Central Park. Record-breaking attendance helped make this year’s event a huge success.

Requests must be submitted to blackboard@fordham.edu and must be sent from the Fordham email account of the person requesting the change. This will help the Blackboard staff confirm the identities of individuals requesting changes.

As of yesterday, all full-time faculty now have web space on the faculty.fordham.edu web server. If you are a full-time faculty member, you should have received an email with the details. We also have a brief introduction up on the wiki. Contact the faculty Technology Center on your campus if you have any questions or need support.

The Spring 2007 technology training schedule has been finalized. Visit http://www.fordham.edu/training for the complete list of courses on offer and to register for training sessions.

EndNote X.0.2 is now available. This update includes support for synchronization with the forthcoming EndNote Web interface.
