We had a great turnout of about 50 faculty members at our Spring meeting of the Faculty Forum on Teaching and Technology, first at Lincoln Center on Tuesday and then at Rose Hill on Wednesday.
Using discussion boards, preventing plagiarism, and using Blackboard were discussed at length at both sessions. The presentation on discussion boards along with resources and links have all been posted to the Faculty Forum on Teaching and Technology.
For those faculty who were unable to attend but would like access to resource materials posted on blackboard and would like to participate in future events, please send us an email and we will enroll you in the organization: blackboard@fordham.edu

Here are examples of some of the resources posted in the Faculty Forum on Teaching and Technology Organization on Blackboard:

Just a quick reminder that the new Center for Teaching Excellence is having kickoff open houses today, 2/20, at Rose Hill and tomorrow, 2/21 at Lincoln Center. The open houses will be an opportunity to get to know the Center’s staff, and find out more about its mission and goals. The open houses will be held in the Faculty Technology Centers, and since we’re lending them our space for the event, this is a great opportunity to stop by and see what’s happening in the FTC, too!

This is episode 3 of the ITAC podcast, a recording of the second part of Richard Sweeney’s keynote address to our Annual Technology Conference on May 22nd.
Mr. Sweeney is University Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and spoke about the challenges of teaching incoming tech-savvy “millennial” students. The first part of the Keynote, Mr. Sweeney’s actual address, can be viewed in Episode 2.
In this episode, Mr. Sweeney interviews a panel of Fordham’s own millennials about their experiences with technology in the classroom and out, at Fordham and elsewhere, and about their general consumer habits, life outlook, and learning styles.
As always, you can subscribe to the podcast via RSS.

We just want to send out a big “Thank You” to everyone who attended our 2007 Annual Technology Confernce at the Law School on Tuesday despite the temptation of the gorgeous weather in Central Park. Record-breaking attendance helped make this year’s event a huge success.
If you didn’t make it down to McNally, you can see what you missed here.
