Daylight Savings Time starts 3 weeks earlier than usual in the U.S. this year. If your computer is not updated to observe the new rules before March 11th, you may have trouble connecting to networks, visiting web sites, and sending and receiving email.

Directions for updating various operating systems are available at http://www.fordham.edu/dst.

Starting March 21st, users will have a choice between to types of access to Fordham’s wireless network using the Clean Access Agent. “Secured Fordham Access” will allow members of the Fordham community to access all of Fordham’s electronic resources. Access to these services will “Faculty Non-Secured Access” will allow authenticated faculty members to quickly access the internet to facilitate classroom teaching.

Non-Secured Access will allow faculty to access the internet without the normal Clean Access checks for up-to-date Operating Systems and antivirus software, so that these checks do not take up valuable classroom time if a faculty member has allowed his/her antivirus software or operating system to become out of date.

Access to campus resources, though, including library reserves and databases, will continue to require Clean Access compliance, and users who wish to access these resources must choose Secure Fordham Access on the login page.
